Tapping into the County

Situated to the immediate west of Carleton County, Lanark County is a scenic destination, offering an abundance of ecological features, world-class amenities, and experiences to discover. Combined with the County’s proximity to Ottawa and U.S. border crossings, as well as a series of strategic advantages to enjoy, Lanark County is very much so ‘open for business’ – and was ready to showcase as much via the development of a distinct brand identity and corresponding website design.

As the maple syrup capital of Ontario, Lanark County’s plentiful maples have been a source of prosperity for the community over the years — thus needed to be reflected across both project deliverables. The maple leaf shape in the resulting logo signifies the County’s self proclaimed title as the maple syrup capital of Ontario and works delicately with the earthy tones and industrial shapes to reveal the County’s movement towards organic economic prosperity and innovation.

Goals:

Develop a modern EcDev brand identity to align with the County’s existing brand

Establish a tagline and series of dedicated hashtags for the County’s use

Deliver a website that houses information and resources for businesses, investors, and residents

Innovation, Affordability, Liveability

Developed on WordPress, Lanark County’s accessible and responsive website is designed to drive home its brand promise and deliver a host of information — from useful economic development stats and resources to details about the County’s individual communities.
