As part of a regional effort to strengthen marketing across rural Eastern Ontario, Greater Madawaska and neighbouring Whitewater Region partnered with CT to craft distinctive yet interconnected brand strategies. The goal: to elevate each community’s visibility, attract visitors and investment, and nurture a sense of pride among residents.

For Greater Madawaska, CT led the creation of a refreshed brand identity and strategic marketing roadmap designed to capture the Township’s authentic spirit and long-term aspirations. The result is a cohesive, future-ready brand system that empowers the Township to tell its story with clarity, confidence, and consistency.

Embracing a Progressive Mindset

Greater Madawaska’s new logo balances adventure and belonging, with the bold “G” symbolizing exploration inspired by the Township’s rugged terrain and iconic Eagle’s Nest lookout, while the negative space within the “M” reveals a serene night scene of moonlit evergreens. Together, these elements capture a place that welcomes curiosity and feels like home. Rooted in accountability, respect, communication, sustainability, and equal access, the brand embodies Greater Madawaska’s commitment to thoughtful growth — honouring its natural beauty, uplifting its people, and preserving its spirit for generations to come.

The Greater Madawaska colour palette was thoughtfully designed to mirror the Township’s natural rhythm and scenic diversity. Drawing inspiration from its forests, rivers, and rolling landscapes, the hues capture the rich transitions of the seasons — from the deep greens of summer canopies to the warm ambers and cool blues that define autumn and winter. This balance of vibrancy and earthiness reflects both the vitality of the community and the timeless beauty of its surroundings.

To ensure consistency and longevity of the new identity, CT delivered a comprehensive brand guide outlining logo usage, colour specifications, typography, and visual applications across print and digital channels. The guide equips Greater Madawaska with the tools to communicate its story clearly and confidently, whether through official communications or community-driven initiatives.
